New Delhi: Merkkem Pharma, the pharma company that is a key player in India’s generic drug industry, has signed a deal with the government to set up a new plant to manufacture and sell medicines for domestic use.
The new facility will be set up at the new Amethia industrial zone in the western city of Amethim.
The company said in a statement on Friday that the plant would be set-up in collaboration with the state government of Amritsar.
The facility will manufacture medicines in the Indian manufacturing sector, it said.
